That has me puzzled, I can't grow a lasiocarpa outside to save my life! Maybe mine are getting eaten by voles? I wonder if voles like slimy corm rot too lol.
So are the sikkiamensis dying outright or just not doing as well? And did you mulch or zero protection?
I had a Helen's Hybrid banana come back this year no protection, but it was a mild winter. That is a sikkiamensis hybrid with an edible banana. Have you seen that or Darjeeling Giant offered? Broadway has a pretty awesome selection of hot new stuff that is for sure, I love their site and have to visit there some day.
