My recommendation would be to skip Hortico & go to Vineland nurseries instead. The gems that you used to be able to find in the back of Hortico's hoop houses have been 'cleaned out' in favour of a more organized but not quite as diverse set-up.
Vineland Nurseries has always been a great visit. Just walking around the garden & seeing large (30') Cedrus and a 20' Cunninghamia, as well as Cephelotaxus, & many Japanese Maples & others. The nursery selection is incredible, with many dwarf conifers, BLE, and a huge selection of JM among others. No website but you can find the address online.
