Evidently Jim sings Jingle Bells in the movie "Elf". It is in iTunes.
I have the DVD, but quite frankly, I can't stand the movie and have been unable to watch it in its entirety.
Does anyone know where in the movie the song is played?
I haven't located it yet.

Hi Robert....I was not able to replied to your question since, although I have watched "Elf" several times with my Grandson, I was unable to find the CD. Finally got one from Walmart the other day, and watched the movie last night. I was puzzled by the claim that Jim's song "Jingle Bells" was there or not. Watching the movie before and not recognizing this song seemed odd because I would have instantly take note.
Well, my hunch was right . Jim's version of "Jingle Bells" is NOT in the movie. It is however listed as song #6 on the movie Soundtrack. But even more puzzling is a listing in the movie closing credits showing "Jingle Bell Rock" sung by Wayne Newton.(WOW). This song was NOT in the movie either, despite the credits saying otherwise. Really confusing. Of course "Jingle Bell Rock" is a completely different song and I guessing someone got their wires crossed.
There seems to be a disconnect between movie credits and the soundtrack disk. Obviously along the way, someone decided to "add" songs to either the movie credits or soundtrack (whether it was there or not) to increase interest (bottom line) and of course generate bigger sales numbers, who knows.
Not exactly in the spirit of Christmas I would say. Confusing, disappointing and unnecessary.
Hope this answers your question Robert....but not the one we all wanted. Cheers for now !!

Sometimes there are songs originally planned to be included in a film, but are cut at the last minute, even though the soundtrack album includes the song. There are many of Elvis' soundtracks that include songs that say they are from the film, but are not. I have even seen a few of the movie trailers that show Elvis singing part of the song, but the scene is not included in the actual film. This is most likely what happened with the movie "Elf". Maybe Jim's song was supposed to be included in the movie, but ended up on the cutting room floor. Same with "Jingle Bell Rock", although it was listed in the movie's credits...

Perhaps the only positive thing is that Jim's Jingle Bells is getting exposure in iTunes Elf Soundtrack with some popularity. More exposure than the PBS alleged Country Music Documentary.
