Those of you who have viewed the color home movie which was taken of the Jim Reeves plane crash scene, that I posted on YouTube a few years ago, will remember that the video opens with a young man in a cowboy hat driving down the road looking for the plane.
That man's name was Johnny Seay.
I am saddened to report that he was killed this afternoon while flying a "crop dusting" plane. He was a cowboy, singer, songwriter, painter, artist, poet, engineer...but the thing he loved the most was FLYING.
How sad and ironic that he ended up dying in a plane crash, 52 years after having participated in the search for Jim Reeves' plane.
My condolences to Johnny's wife, Star, and his entire family.
You can see Johnny by clicking the link below. The exclusive plane crash video that I own (that was filmed by Marty Robbins' bus driver), has been viewed by over a half million people. (The counter on YouTube says it has had 298,485 views, but I briefly took the video down after it had already garnered about a quarter of a million views, and then reposted it...causing the counter to re-set).
