I was just wondering if there were any plans in the future of releasing some of the songs that you have over-dubbed,especially of previously unheard songs,in either demo form or with improved sound quality. So far I have purchased every Voice masters release, most recently 'The New Gospel Recordings',the 2 disc documentary and the 'Live' CD,all of which I am looking forward to hearing. My brother bought the 'Welcome To My World' boxed set for my birthday last month, and there was one song on there entitled 'The Girl I Left Behind',there seemed to be some, what I would call 'ghosting',in one of the verses you can hear Jim sing different lyrics fading in an out for a short while,I was wondering,Could you and your team find a copy and try and sort out this problem? The song was recorded around 1947/8,so the tape may not be repairable!

I believe that effect you're referring to is tape bleed through and is not usually repairable.
As you have noticed, though the Bear boxed set is STILL being marketed as containing all of Jim's recordings, that is simply NOT TRUE. VoiceMasters has released many new songs, etc. over the years that were apparently unknown to the Big Bear at that label.
Thank you,I didn't know the technical term.To be honest,I don't recall the box-set being advertised here, the only way I heard about was in the 'fan club'newsletter from DB here in the UK,think I saw it in shop once, but didn't have the money to buy it.Earlier this year I tried to order it through HMV,but they told me it had been deleted. Recently I have spent around $100 on VoiceMasters products, and I am waiting in eager anticipaton,I know they will be worth the wait. I did have a duplicate once,so I gave it to my local radio station, but they said that it couldn't be played on their show because it was over-dubbed and sounded too modern, but I was assured that he eould pass it to one of his fellow presenters!
