On some of Jim's 1970's Overdubbed albums, I noticed if I listened hard, I can hear the original backing in places. This is most evident on the 1975 "Songs Of Love" LP.
If you listen closely to "You'll Never Know" and "Blue Skies" you can hear, faintly, the original backing singers. Was this just a case of the engineers "turning down" the original backing by way of Graphic Equalizers?

Gary, have you not seen any pictures in my book of Jim in the studio? You will see that the Anita Kerrs were standing close to Jim, barely six feet away. Some of their sound was leaking into his mic. That's why even though RCA probably worked with the 3 track masters, which contained Jim's voice on one of those tracks, you could still hear a bit of the BGVs.
