Hi Larry
I have two copies of the song Wild Rose. One is on the LP A Touch of Velvet and the other is on the LP Jim Reeves Writes You a Record. I noticed Jims voice sounds a little different on the Writes You a Record album. On the Touch of Velvet album he sounds normal. Why is this?

Allen, I noticed this too the very first time I played the album. It sounded to me like a very poor quality tape of Jim singing, although I have no idea why Mary would have used it, when she could have used the original master. Maybe Larry would know the answer to this.
