I enjoyed Larry's interview. I learned a couple of new things from it. Thanks Larry.
Question for Larry: Who did Jim play golf with most often? Did he have a regular group? Or did his golfing companions vary widely?

It depended on where he was. When in Texas he most often played with John Lee and when Mary was along Helen Lee joined them. He also played with Tom Perryman and his brother. In Nashville he'd play with Dean Manuel, Del Reeves, Bob Luman, Boots Randolph, Chet Atkins and various others. He had non-music industry people he played with as well but their names wouldn't mean anything to you. He also played golf with various women, including Judy Ford in Texas, the young rodeo star with whom he was keeping company. He bought her her first set of golf clubs and taught her the game. But that's not the only game he taught her...
And Jim participated in various pro-am golf tourneys, including in Las Vegas, and was very supportive of the women's golf league in San Antonio, Texas, for whom he helped raise money. He was scheduled to do that again that Fall and when he was killed, representatives of the PGA attended his funeral.
