To day Leo Jacksons Bithday Posted by Hanne and Mogens Jensen on October 22, 2009, 8:02 am 212.70.36.162 Today our dear Leo could have celebrated his 75 birthday and on a day like this my thoughts go to his after late. Hanne and I are very grateful to have 7 years of good memories of Leo and we keep deep in our heart, we got Leo a friend whom we will never forget, and today we will remember him and listen to his wonderful giutar's sound and Jims wonderful voice in these two together gave us the world's best music Large and warm congratulations Dear Leo up in the sky. I must admit his playing passed under my radar screen most of my life, but after reading about him here and watching him on several You Tube videos, I've come to fully appreciate his contributions. Isn't it always the case--such basic, to-the-core guitar riffs are so easily passed over, as though anybody could have done them. I'm glad I know better now.  Post a Response

I never met Leo personally but it appears to me that having been with Jim & Mary for so long i suppose one could say he was more like family than just one of Jim,s band. To my mind, Leo was intimately involved in developing that sound that was to be the Jim Reeves sound. I surely would have liked to have met him as he must have been a very interesting person in his own right. John  Post a Response
