Radio Freemantle: A tribute to Jim Reeves Posted by Dirk Joubert on July 31, 2009, 12:24 pm 198.54.202.195 Right at this moment I am listening to the archive file of the "Creative Country" program of Radio Freemantle as it was recorded on Thursday at 21:00. It is an 2 hour tribute to Jim Reeves and worthwhile listening to. The very first song they played "Once upon a time" is unfamiliar to me. Can anyone tell me on which CD I can find this song. One other way to find a song you like is to go to amazon.com and look through the Jim Reeves CDs listed there.

I have been able to listen to my favourite radio broadcast from Western Australia for the past three years. Every year, at this time, Geoff Simons and Ian Mills hosts of ''Creative Country'' provide one of the best tributes to Jim Reeves on radio. As you may recognize, Geoff is a contributer to the Forum. You will be able to access the program up to seven days of it's original broadcast. Broadcast day this year - July 31. Google '' Radio Fremantle''-- click on the Archives link, go to Thursday at 2100. It's a program feature not to be missed. As long as we are broadcasting, Jim and his music will always be an integral part of our program. We may not play him every week, but certainly as often as we get the chance. And we will continue to feature an entire 2 hour program dedicated to Jim every year on the closest Thursday night to July 31. Thanks again. Geoff  Post a Response
