The first Jim's version of "Missing Angel" was recorded on sept. 5, 1961 (but not issued until 1994 in the Bear Family 16 cds box set),and was a version more slow rather than the superior nov. 20, 1962 recording.

Hey Jimmy,
...and if you wish to hear both versions of "Missing Angel" (the original 'unreleased' cut (61) and then the cut(62) they eventually did release) I believe that they can both be found in the Bear package that Gianluca refers to..perhaps a friend can help you out in this matter

Both versions of "Missing angel" are in the Bear Family's 1994 16 cds box: the 1961 version in the cd 8, the 1962 version in the cd 11. The two versions are in two separate cds because the box set follow Jim's recordings in chronological sequence (Jim recorded more than 70 songs for Rca from late 1961 to late 1962). A big "ciao!" to all Jim's fans around the world.

The released version of the song was the flip side of the Single Is This Me and was included in the LP/Cassette/CD The Best of Jim Reeves Vol 3. I have that CD that was released back in the 80s on the RCA Special Products label "The Special Music Company". It's one of my favorite compilations.
