An Important Anniversary Posted by Larry Jordan on June 26, 2009, 5:11 pm 69.66.111.56 Regular visitors to this Fan Forum know that Doris Gath of Minnesota was not only a leading member of Jim Reeves' fan club, but that she and her husband, Elmer, were close friends with Jim and Mary. So I think it's only fitting to take note of the fact that today is the Gaths' 60th wedding anniversary. Julie, Sara and I still fondly remember when Doris and Elmer visited our home a few years ago. They are both such kind and gracious people -- a real pleasure to know. So congrats to the Gaths and every good wish!  Post a Response

I want to thank each one of you special people for wishing us well on our anniversary. Yes, it is a big milestone. Not too many people live long enough to celebrate 60 years together, I guess. That's great! I know you were married when I first met you both and the best I remember it was in the summer of 1958 and that's been 51 years ago so guess I've know you most of your married life, ha! I know Jim and Mary thought a lot of you both and I'm thankful we've been in touch all these years. I so enjoyed you're coming by and visiting me here in Colorado and you're always welcome.
