Jim Reeves Legal Matters Posted by Garry Herring on September 30, 2008, 3:47 pm 86.2.20.117 Hi everyone, I am just wondering if there has been anymore developments with the legal issues surrounding the Jim Reeves Estate. There has been nothing in the Fan Club news recently. The last that I heard was that Lani Arnold, Jim's Niece, was trying to prove the Terry Davis got Mary to sign everything over to him while she was menatally unfit with Althziemers Disease. Now that Ed Gregory and Mary Reeves have sadly passed away, who now controls Jim's estate dealings? Of course, Terry Davis is still alive so maybe he is in there somewhere but it is all a bit confusing. cheers GARRY  Post a Response

Terry filed an affadavit stating that he found a holographic will of Mary's and we are contesting that will. He is also trying to claim his spousal portion of the estate. Apparently we are set to go to court in February. The Reeves family are pretty much in agreement that we will keep this in court until everything is gone before we give it to Terry. I feel an obligation to Mary to try to fulfill her wishes as best I can. I would like to preserve Jim's assets however, Mary meant the world to him and I am pretty sure that he would want me to do just what I am doing. Sincerely, Lani  Post a Response

It would be nice to finally have some closure but for reasons best known to those involved they will not let it rest. I wish you well in your efforts to get some justice for mary and Jim but by the looks of it the only winners are going to be those high priced lawyers.....yet again. John.  Post a Response
