Happy Birthday to Joyce! Posted by Larry Jordan on March 10, 2008, 9:43 pm 69.66.111.56 We want to extend best wishes to Joyce Jackson, who is celebrating her birthday today, Monday, March 10th. I had a conversation with Joyce on the phone and I understand she didn't have to work today, so she spent her time with family and got lots of cards and phone calls from well wishers. As most fans know, Joyce was Jim Reeves' personal secretary, and worked for Jim Reeves Enterprises for 30 years. Jim and Mary both depended on her, not only for secretarial support, but they treated her like a member of the family. In fact, she had her own bedroom at the Reeves home in Madison, Tenn. where she could stay overnight when house sitting (when they were out of town) or doing other work for them. She's a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about Jim and has been a key source for me as I have labored on the new book. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOYCE and many more to come!  Post a Response

A sincere "Thank You" is also in order here, for all the things you do and have done to keep the "bosses" memory alive, and keeping us all straight on things. Jim would very proud of you for all the good deeds you have done for his sake and all the other people around him over all these years.
