Jim,s Cadillac Posted by John Walker on September 9, 2007, 7:18 am 195.93.21.34 I was taking a look at a classic car site recently and in particular i was interested in the 1960s cadillacs. What i found interesting though was just how alike these vehicles were in some respects to modern day cars. What with all the optional extras that were available back then. I was wondering where about in the Cadillac model range did Jims car fall into and what type of features did it come with when Jim purchased it. Does anyone happen to know? John.  Post a Response

It had a V-8 engine, Automatic and Air Conditioning, and an AM Radio to my knowledge. I believe also that James Newberry still owns it and he spent $135,000 restoring it, and did wonderful job on it, as there were pictures of it on this site at one time. Regards, Don  Post a Response

The Pictures and story about the car are still on the home page of the Jim Reeves Way, and you can see the triple carbs which was probably an option for the car also. James Newberry has the build sheet for the car and thus knows exactly what options came on the car when it was built. Regards, Don  Post a Response

The battery that was in the care when purchased that is. There used to be a Delco battery plant here in Olathe, Kansas. It has been torn down since fortunately; however, it took some time to get the ground cleaned up!  Post a Response
