Oh dear, what have I done.Due to my failing eyesight & impending senility I have quoted incorrect information on the message about Janie Frickie etc posted on Sunday July 15th 2007 at 4.25pm. My apologies first of all to those fans who found the information useful and quoted my facts to others. The Matrix numbers for the sessions where Janie Frickie did the background vocals on should read "Don't Let Me Cross Over" (HWA5-5363), "I've Enjoyed As Much....." (HWA5-5364), "When 2 World's Collide" (HWA5-5365) & "I Fall To Pieces" (HWA5-5366) The Matrix numbers beginning with "H" and not "G" as previously quoted.
The details on the song "Please Forgive" should read:- Please further note that the song "Please Forgive" that surfaced on the xcellent "Soundies" label CD "The Unreleased Hits" (DRC 12689) was a song that RCA had major problems in trying to achieve a good usable final master, and RCA tried several times to overdub & remake "Please Forgive" on 3rd January 1968, (Matrix WWA4-1727), and again made several attempts on 16th December 1970 (Matrix WWA4-1727A), but no satisfactory final master was achieved.There was clearly never any hint that Helen Chance did duet vocals on this song. In fact Helen Chance did backing vocals on an overdub of "Gypsy Feet" & "The Writings On The Wall". My thanks to Mr. Robert Chudicek for questioning my original message, without whose help I would still be confused. My apologies to Mr. Larry Jordan & Julie for this blemish on their Fan Forum.
