Did Jim Reeves Have a Temper? Posted by Terry Carr on July 2, 2007, 2:37 pm 64.12.117.20 I remember on the Jim Reeves Story that was narrated by Eddy Arnold. At one point they asked some country artists about Jim Reeves. I remember Grandpa Jones saying he knew Jim Reeves had a short temper. Was there some kind of dust up between them that led to this comment?  Post a Response

Because HE is the one who was notorious for having a short fuse. He wasn't nicknamed "Gentleman Grandpa" but our man Reeves WAS known as "Gentleman Jim." Grandpa and Jim liked each other, played shows together, and got along great.  Post a Response

One time he and someone else was driving in the rain and the windshield wipers were barely moving. He got so mad, he got out of the car, got on the hood and physically moved the wipers back and forth the way they were supposed to and said "This is how you are supposed to work".  Post a Response
