We continued on to Nashville where we remained a couple of days and Larry called the facility and checked on her, hoping we'd be able to drive out for a visit before we left the area. I forget now what was going on but they were giving her meds so she was sleeping a lot and of course we would not have wanted to disturb the poor woman.
We were later sent photos of her that were so shocking that Larry decided not to put them in his book. We prefer to remember Mrs. Reeves the way she was most of her life, with that big smile and happy disposition. Her health had deteriorated so in the final years it was truly horrible. God showed His mercy by taking her when He did.
I would love to hear stories from anybody who would care to post here and tell us of their encounters with Mary. There are some cute stories about her. I bet Doris Gath has something to share! -- JULIE
