I am surprised that nobody who has read the eBook version of "Jim Reeves: His Untold Story" has commented that there is a bit of a difference between that and the print edition, because in the eBook I did indeed write about the last demo sessions. (There was a gap of a couple of months between when the printed book was released and the eBook was assembled for distribution through venues like Amazon Kindle, Google, et al and I made some changes which will ultimately be incorporated into the next printing of my book).
I believe that people sometimes have premonitions; history is full of examples of this phenomenon although I don't think anybody truly understands why or how they happen.
There was, however, some conflict between Bud Logan and Jim Reeves at that last demo session and that may have set up an air of tension. For one thing, Bud was having trouble playing bass and misses a few notes, as we discovered when we did overdubs on those tunes. But there was more to it than that...
