Re: Jims' persona
When someone is successful, there are people in this world who try to tear them down. There have been many times when Jim was treated unfairly for just being human. His faults tend to be blown all out of proportion because he was a famous person. Unfortunately, Larry is going through the same thing because of his book on Jim, which is simply an honest account of Jim's life. From the reviews I've read since it was published, it seems that Larry gave most fans the kind of book they've been waiting for---but there are always a few that find fault with it. This is exactly the kind of book on Jim that I've been waiting for all my life, and it certainly hasn't changed my opinion of him. It just gave us greater insight into the real man behind the velvet voice. Jim had the greatest singing voice in the world, but he was just human like the rest of us.
