A Question About Charlie Monk

Charlie Monk (the mayor of music row) is the morning DJ on the program entitled 'The Roadhouse" which is featured only on satellite radio.You can count on Charlie to play one or more JR offerings on most days.To-day, it was "Four Walls".Every once in awhile Charlie will say that he once worked for Jim.I do not ever remembering seeing his name mentioned in any writings I have read about Jim for the past three decades or so.Can anybody out there enlighten me as to just what his connection to Jim might have been in years gone by.Merely curious that is all.
