Dave, you must be referring to the liner notes that appeared on the back cover of "The Best Of Jim Reeves, Volume 3" LP. The notes were written by Johnny Cash himself, so I'm sure it must be true. This LP was released a few years after Jim's passing and Johnny's words were very touching. You could tell from reading them that Jim must have meant a lot to him. I don't have a copy of this LP anymore, but I'm sure there's a fan out there that does. It would be great if someone could tell us exactly what Johnny said. It's been a while since I've seen them myself and would love to read them again.
