Thank you Joyce and Mike.
I am the first to say there will only be one Jim Reeves.
For many years I have tried to support or be actively involved in any kind of healthy or commercial promotion of Jim’s music with no finantial gain to myself, I will add.
There are many good “Jim Reeves style” singers; my favorite is Oliver Barratt from Ireland. Al Grant from Scotland, Paul Wheater from Yorkshire and the outstanding Arni Benoni.
After some 34 years on the road, the loss of Lena my wife and several knockbacks, at 56 I am in what I hope are the autumn of my years. I have now found what utopia can be…singing Jim’s music and keeping his style of song alive.
I do not earn a lot from it and maybe one day just as much needed to pay the bills…
I know one thing; I won’t take up flying lessons!
Mike, I have a cd of Stu Phillips on loan to a Radio dj friend at the moment, “Our Last Rendezvous” LSP4012 when I get it back next week I’ll send it to you.
Really appreciate the kind words.
Thank you
Tony
