Joyce, I agree with you about Tony Wall. He's quite a talent and sounds very much like Jim. However,there was one other singer I remember from the mid-'60's that really sounded a lot like Jim as well. Does anyone remember Stu Phillips? I remember his first few LP's because my Mom had them. Stu came along shortly after Jim's passing and his records were also on RCA Victor and produced by Chet Atkins. I can only recall two LP's that he did. The first was called "Singin' Stu Phillips" and the second was "Grassroots Country". These albums were really good and if they were on CD, I would purchase them in a minute! I don't think they have ever been released on CD though, and I don't remember if he ever recorded anymore LP's after these two. I never really knew much about him either and he seemed to just fade away. If anyone knows any more about Stu or if his albums are available on CD, I would sure be interested to know.
