Hi Everyone:
Well, I am back in Colorado and back in the real world of work, work, work! However, I am still on cloud 9 from receiving such an honor. It was wonderful having Lani and Larry there. At least Jim was represented by a blood relative! Jeannie Seely read my bio and then introduced me. It was also Jeannie that nominated me. It was indeed an honor and I feel so blessed. All of my sisters,Glenda, Jan and Marsha and their husbands, Bob, Jerry B. & Stu Basore, Marsha's husband and one of the best steel players around, were there as was my brother Jerry and his girlfriend June, and my best friend of 66 years Perla Harkins and her husband Dan were there from Kentucky. My nieces, Robin, Lisa, Kelly, Robin's husband Jim, and my nephew Brett, his wife Dorothy and my great niece, Maggie, Kelly's daughter and Stu and Marsha's granddaughter, my spiritual kids Don and Kim Trainer and Sherry Lange,a long time friend since 1957 came down from Minnesota and my very good friend, the sheriff of Sagamion Co Illinois (Springfield)Neil Williamson who write on this forum, came down also. Another long time friend. Barbara Byrd was there.
It was wonderful seeing Dickie Lee, Brenda Lee, who was one of the presenters, and she is still "Little Miss Dynamite", Charlie McCoy, Eddy Ravin and so many others. It was a packed house and the food was just wonderful!
Thanks to all of you that have either written me personally or been here on the forum that sent congratulatory messages. I appreciate them and I appreciate you.
It was a wonderful night and one that I shall always remember. I think Jim and Mary would have been very proud.
Always for you Jim,
Joyce
