Hi all,
Now that there has been a great resurgence of Jim's muasic via the excellent greatest hits packages that have recently appeared on the market. now is the time to treat Jim's fans to a collection of recordings that have not seen the light of day in many a year. (apart from the Mammoth 16-CD box set that I must admit that cannot afford)
Some of the sggestions that I have include:
"Fool's Paradise" (gorgeous Western Ballad not available on compilations since 1967, apart from Bear)
"Have You Ever Been Lonely" (1974 Overdub, beautiful arrangement, not available since 1974)
"I Catch Myself Crying" (very Lovely Roger Miller-penned song, sad but beautiful, not available apart from Bear Collection)
"Rosa Rio" (Alternate Take, from the "Am I That Easy To Forget" Album, Very Rare)
"The Hawaiian Wedding Song" (Alternate Vocal, previously only found on the "I'd Fight The World" album from 1974")
"It's No Sin" (Alternate Vocal)
Of course there are many more rare gems that the record companie could put out and hats off to Voicemasters for bringing out new treats for us all.
If anyone else has any selections to be added to this list please let me know.
cheers
GARRY
