Lani, I am 100% in agreement with you when it comes to Joyce. She called me last night from Nashville to tell me what a wonderful time she'd had on Thursday evening at the awards ceremony, how classy it all was, and how humbled she felt to be so honored. We talked on the 45th anniversary of Jim's passing, and she reflected that he would be proud to have seen her get an award.
Apparently the soiree was quite an affair, with artists ranging from Eddie Raven to Brenda Lee in attendance. Joyce told me how happy she was that Lani and her husband, Larry, drove all the way up from Shreveport to be there, and her only disappointment was that they couldn't stay longer.
I'm sure that once she gets back home to Colorado, Joyce will be posting here on the Fan Forum and sharing the details of this once-in-a-lifetime honor.
