Hi:
Of course I know James very well and yes, he was Jim's bass player, front man, bus driver and even mechanic at times for Big Blue, Jim's bus. The Blue Boys did an act called "The Lump, Lump Boys" where they all dressed in overalls so some other outdated garb and sang parodys of different songs, told jokes and all in all was a very funny act I got to see them only one time when they played in East Point, Georgia, but I loved them, they were great. Dean played a jug and James played the upright bass for this act. Mel and Leo played what they did best, drums and guitar, but all were funny and took part in the act.
I saw James in November of last year when Mogens and Hanne Jensen were over visiting from Denmark. We all met and had dinner in Carthage. James and his wife Jeanine, Larry and Lani Arnold. Lani as most of you know by now is Jim's niece, and I all had dinner together.
I have visited the website you mentioned and it is a good one to get to know a little about James.
Always for Jim,
Joyce
