Last night on the Midnite Jamboree (WONDERFUL show, by the way), Jim Ed said that the Browns' career was, in essence, over because the Fabor contract ran out and Jim Ed was in the Army. Jim Ed said that Jim Reeves and Tom Perryman came to Arkansas and went hunting with him. Jim told Jim Ed that if the Browns wanted to resume their career, then Jim & Tom would do everything they could to convince RCA to sign them.
The first single the Browns had following signing with RCA was the Ira & Charlie Louvin composition, "I Take the Chance," which went to #2.
Thank you, Jim & Tom for making sure the great music of the Browns got heard!!!
