Yes, Steve -- because the people voting for induction are buffoons. These are the same people who still haven't inducted Al Dexter, Elton Britt, Hank Locklin, Jean Shepard, Connie Smith, the Blue Sky Boys, or the Stanley Brothers and took decades longer than they should have to induct Pop Stoneman, Webb Pierce, and the Louvin Brothers.
(Meanwhile, they can induct Vince Gill immediately because he hosted the CMA Awards for 13 years. Can you say "politics?")
