That sounds great, Andy, but you never mentioned how you learned this or where you saw it. Also, I don't believe all of Elvis' appearances on Ed Sullivan could have been kinescopes. I have some of these performances on DVD and they look more like film and a few even look like black and white video tape. I had seen a few of these same performances many times before and they didn't look nearly as good. Probably because poor prints were used. As for kinescopes of Elvis, the one that looked by far the worst was his appearance on the Frank Sinatra special on his return from the army. I would like to see these in improved quality.
