Hot on the heals of my last trivia post about Janie Frickie, comes this trivia about "The Browns".
It is known that Jim Reeves was a session musician(Rhythm Guitar) on 3 sessions for The Browns.
Firstly, on March 15th 1954, when the Browns recorded:-
"Rio De Janeiro". (G2WB-4395).
"Looking Back To See" (G2WB-4396).
Secondly on December 18th 1956, when the Browns recorded:-
"The Last Thing That I Want" (G2WB-5452) (47-6995)
"Preview To The Blues" (G2WB-5453). (RCA - UNISSUED).
"My Isle Of Golden Dreams". (G2WB-5454) (LPM-1438)
"I'm In Heaven" (G2WB-5455). (47-6918).
And Thirdly, on November 25th 1958, when the Browns recorded:-
"Beyond A Shadow" (J2WB-6935). (47-7427).
"This Time I Would Know" (J2WB-6936).(47-7427).
It is further interesting to note that a song recorded by The Browns "Love Didn't Pass Me By" recorded on 26th May 1964, under Matrix RWA41239 was written alledgedly by Joyce Jackson.!!!!
Any comments on this song Joyce?
Hope all Jim's fans find the above interesting.
Always for Jim & his fans.
