Thanks so much, Larry. You really shed a lot of light on this subject for me, and other fans too I hope. I know a lot of the footage that are kinescopes do not look that good, but sometimes I wonder if some of the bad footage (like on the "Golden Memories" tape) might be copies of the kinescope...which would mean that the original kinescopes, although not great quality to begin with, might look at least a little better. I've had a few fans over the years send me a few tapes of a few TV shows that Jim did that were great...but unfortunately, the tape quality left a LOT to be desired. One show had Jim hosting (I think maybe "Community Jambouree"), with Faron Young as a guest. Jim even narrated the commercials for the show. These would be wonderful to have in good quality! Another was a clip of Jim doing "Dear Hearts and Gentle People", but this was not the footage from the "Golden Memories" video. This one had Jim singing a duet with a female singer who I did not recognize. Any idea who it was?
