I'm interested to know if there's any particular reason other than co-incidence why so many of Jim's songs are about Mexico, or contain Spanish references. Mexican Joe of course, Spanish Violins, Echo Bonita and indeed many of the Abbott cuts - and even well into the RCA days with Mexicali Rose, Rosa Rio and others. Even his Christmas album had Senor Santa Claus snook in!
And what's his most famous song to the general public?
