As for the way Gordon has described working with Jim in the studio, I don't think it nessasarily means he had anything against Jim or was making all this up. It's just possible that Jim could have had his moments when he was not in a great mood for one reason or another, and Gordon happened to be present at the time. It could also mean that Jim and Gordon just didn't see eye to eye on certain things. Chet Atkins has even claimed that Jim was hard on the studio musicians from time to time, and he and Jim were very close friends. I see no reason why this couldn't be true because, after all, I think all of us have behaved this way at one time or another. None of us are perfect. However, I certainly believe that for the most part, Jim was probably an easy going guy and was usually easy to work with. If he had had this indifference toward people most of the time, then how could he have ever earned the nickname "Gentleman Jim"?
