Maybe Joyce Jackson or Julie or Larry can answer something for me. I bought the book Behind The Grand Ole Opry Curtain. It has a chapter titled Gentleman Jim. This has proably been discussed before but I would like to know why Gordon Stoker is so hateful in his comments. He says you could not smile in the studio during a recording session as Jim Reeves would think you were laughing at him. If he was so bad to work with then why did the Jordanaires back him several times. Why was Hoyt Hawkins one of the people out searching in the snakey woods for the crash site? It made me wish I had not purchased the book. I hope someone can shed some light on this for me. Thanks to everyone for the posts.
