Perhaps Doris or one of the others who knew Jim and Mary could answer this one.I have often wondered what Jim was like as a person away from the bright lights of the stage and the adulation of the fans.
Was he as i suspect just an ordinary guy who had the talent to do extraordinary things, or perhaps he was the sort of person who always took the time no matter how busy he was to stop and talk for a while with both freinds and fans. From what i have heard in the few interviews he strikes me as being rather humble if that is the correct word to use certainly not the sort who has let fame and fortune go to their heads. I for one will never know as i was only 8 years old when he died but maybe there is one of you who could cast some light on what Jim was like.
