A question for Larry ...
The British singer Paul Wheater, who has recorded several CDs containing Jim Reeves material, released a CD in 1998 titled "To My Loved Ones". This CD was a collection of songs, none of which were recorded by Reeves with the exception of I'm A Hit Again. Two of the songs were reportedly co-authored by Jim. They are: I Hate Me (co-written with Mitchell Torok) and For Just A Little While Tonight (co-written with the recently-deceased Hank Locklin). The liner notes are by Steve Morewood who researched songs for the album that "Jim might have recorded" had he not met his tragic and untimely demise. Some of the other tracks are written by songwriters who had previously provided songs that Jim recorded, including Ray Winkler, John Hathcock, Luke McDaniel, Leon Payne, Alex Zanetis and Cindy Walker.
Could you shed some light on the songs Jim collaborated on with Torok and Locklin?
Thanks and regards,
Geoff Simons
