It seems that people find it worth mentioning the manner in which Travis addressed his letters to his Mother & O.D.
He would simply scrawl on the envelope: Mama and O.D., De Berry, Texas.
I can't help but laugh! Even now, I still receive mail sent to me, here in DeBerry, that can be addressed with nothing more than my maiden name and DeBerry, Tx. on it!
And...I have been married for 35 years now!
Talk about "down home"...*smile*
