As a child, I was raised in the house right next door to the Reeves home, in DeBerry, Tx. Today, I live only one mile down the road..
I noticed someone had mentioned O.D. in another message. O.D. was an awesome man! I so loved visiting with him every day. He adored us children and the feeling was mutual!
The world remembers the day Travis..."Jim Reeves"... died. The world was impacted by his music and by his death.
I remember the day my friend O.D. died. I was forever impacted by his life, as well as his death.
I'll be driving by the two home’s today, as well as by Travis’ memorial...as I leave my “little shack out in the sticks” of DeBerry...on my way into town.
Precious Memories...how they linger. How they ever flood my soul.
