Yes, I found it and I ordered a copy. Thanks for asking. Did you ever go the museum in TN?
I saw a film from the UK about someone's personal tour Mary gave to them. They filmed it and it was in 4 parts. I enjoyed seeing everything and hearing what she had to say. What a courageous woman and so full of devotion to her late husband! I also saw where Mary was buried in Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison, TN and Dean's headstone as well. I was not aware Mary had Alzheimer's. That is very sad. But, I am enjoying learning and getting to know them even better, sad with the good. I wish I knew someone who knew them personally. I guess that's always been a lifelong dream; to meet someone famous I adored. When I was very young, about 3rd gr. I wrote to William Shatner of Star Trek. His agency sent back a copy of a picture (fan mail I'm sure). I never did get to meet him but maybe I will get to meet someone before I die. Many have already gone. I admired John Wayne and James Stewart. I wasn't aware Jim Reeves knew Minnie Pearl. I'll have to tell you a story: when I was about 5, we went to a rodeo (I think that's what it was)in the colliseum in Lubbock, TX, where I was born. Anyway, Minnie Pearl was there and walked around the arena in front of a vehicle. She was waving and shouting "Howdy" like she does. I ran down to the bottom of the row of seats (about 6ft above the floor by the rail) and hollered for her. She came and took me in her arms and carried me around a bit and we waved together. She took me back after a few minutes. I don't know why I remembered that moment, maybe because she actually took me and it was so thrilling. I didn't know she knew Jim. That may be my only connection. If so, then, maybe it will have to do. Does Doris Gath live in MN? She knew them well. It would be wonderful to get to meet her and just chat, don't you think? I notice she writes here occasionally. Did Jim and Mary know someone from east Tx by the name of Tucker?? I'll tell you why I ask if so.
