We certainly did make some new memories on this last trip. Mogens and Hanne are always so much fun to be with. I value their friendship so much. We all had a good time at the Opry. it's the first time that I have been in a long time and it was wonderful seeing everyone again and they seeemed to enjoy seeing me again and they were all so gracious to Mogens and Hanne which pleased me very much. Jean Shepard stopped her "on the air" visit with Keith Bilbrey and started talking to me while on the air saying that she had known me ever since I had been in Nashville and how I had worked for Jim. It was really quite funny as Keith even joined in. It was wonderful seeing Jimmy C Newman and Bill Anderson. Jimmy and Jim were great friends as was Bill and Jim and of course Jim recorded some of Bill's songs. Our names were put on the backstage list and we got there early enough that we were able to get seats on the stage itself. This was Mogens and Hanne's first time to be backstage and I know they enjoyed it. As Mogens and Hanne said, the entire trip was great and my car did so good, but then I had a wonderful driver. He only let me drive about 100 miles of the 3,191 miles that we put on it.
I am so looking forward to my trip in August and I hope my book is out by then. It would be a great way to celebrate Jim's birthday. What a thrill to be honored on this particular day in August. It will also be wonderful seeing my Danish family again also. It looks like I will have about 22 or 24 guest present as I am honored. I know it was Jeannie Seely that brough my name up before the board and for this I am most grateful.
I still have not completely finalized my new server, but at least I can now get on here some.
Thank you to those that have asked about me. I appreciate it.
