The long-awaited CD has finally arrived and it's just great! A few of my faves on first listen are "Lonesome Waltz"...Jim's vocals are easier to hear on this version..."Pride Goes Before A Fall"...I love this version because it's not only fantastic, but it sounds so different from the original! The vocal track almost sounds like it could be from Jim's Abbott days. He sounds a bit younger than on the familiar version. It's great to hear a fresh, new version of "Is It Really Over"...Jim's timing is a bit off on one line, but he catches up soon enough so that it doesn't sound like too much of a mistake. Good song and overdub! I really like "Distant Drums" too, but the beginning intro starts and ends so abruptly, that I thought maybe my copy was skipping. I played it over a few times and I don't really think it's skipping. It sounds like it was actually recorded that way. Can anyone tell me if they noticed this too? I just want to make sure my copy is ok. As I said, I like the new overdub, but I couldn't help but feel that the intro sounded strange to me. Anyway, another great Voicemasters CD, and I'm already looking foward to the next one, whenever that may be. On a final note...anymore news on when the book is coming out, Larry?
