I don't know the answer to any of your questions. But I can say that I was privileged to read about seven paragraphs from a section of Larry's forthcoming book a couple of years ago. It dealt with the plane crash. That material alone was worth the price of the book, whatever it is, and gave me knowledge about the life of Jim Reeves that's available nowhere else.
