Yes, Eddy Arnold was one of the great ones! It is sad to know that soon there won't be any of the classic country singers left. I saw Eddy Arnold at the Utah State Fair (years ago). He sat on a stool and played his guitar and sang for over an hour - great show. He was my favorite, second to Jim Reeves.

: Nashville radio station WSM announced this
: morning that Eddy Arnold had passed away
: this morning. He would have been 90 on the
: 15th of this month. I had the great fortune
: of being able to speak to him and Sally a
: few times when I would see them at the local
: Cracker Barrel. He was always easy to
: approach and he and his wife were classy
: people. He spoke very highy of Jim Reeves.
: The radio said that he passed away in the
: rehabilitation center he was in recovering
: from his hip surgery. We have lost another
: truly great star.
