I was all ready in love with country music when I first Jim Reeves. I had been listening to Eddy Arnold for quite a while. I believe the first song I heard by Jim Reeves was Mexican Joe. After all these years of hearing Jim sing, I am still caught up in the sound of his voice whenever I hear hime (which is quite often). I finally bought a USB turntable and have been able to begin to transfer our records to CDs! What a wonderful gift - like Doris, I am not too enamored with the "new" country music.

: Hi Don:
: Good to hear from you again!
: I have to say that in 1954 we used to listen
: to the LA. Hayride on the radio every
: Saturday night. One night we heard the
: sweetest voice! None other than Gentleman
: Jim Reeves singing "Mexican Joe",
: so guess I guess that would be my sway into
: country music in a big way.
: I've lost interest lately because except for
: a few exceptional artists country music
: ain't country music any more!!
: Always for Jim, Doris
