In an effort to get CD orders sent out as quickly as possible, we did indeed mail quite a few CDs even before we charged our customers. So if anybody got a CD and did not see a debit on their credit card statement as yet, that's the reason. Of course, we did this on the "honor system," trusting that fans had not given us obsolete or overdrawn credit card numbers. In a few cases, we have found to our dismay that the cards could not be charged. That is our loss. Our main objective was to get these out as fast as we could.
There are still a few fans out there, however, who report not receiving their orders as yet. There doesn't seem to be any one reason for this. In a couple of cases, we have had packages returned to us by the post office, even though the addresses appear to be correct. In another instance, a customer informed us that his package had been opened enroute and obviously resealed, and inside was some rap artist whom we've never even heard of! We didn't send him the wrong CD; obviously, some dishonest person along the way stole the Reeves CD and substituted a different one. This had to occur within the postal system. Shocking.
Contrary to a silly rumor being circulated by an old nemesis who likes to pretend he knows all about our business affairs even though there is no way he could, there HAVE been a lot of orders received from European fans for Jim Reeves' new "Shepherd of Love." Not only that, we have received audio clips from radio stations in Europe who have been playing and commenting on these beautifully overdubbed and very rare tracks of Jim's on the new VoiceMasters CD. Even more so than on previous CDs. So it is being well received.
If anybody has a question about a CD order, please email me privately. In a few cases I have received multiple emails even though I have already provided an answer.
Remember, to assure prompt delivery, you need to consider insuring your package because otherwise, we have no way of tracing it after it has been mailed. -- Julie
