Thanks for informing us, Terry. Sally and Eddy were married for well over 60 years, quite an achievement in the world of show business.
Jim, Eddy, Marty Robbins, Red Foley and George Morgan were the mellow-voiced singers who, in my opinion, raised the standard of Country music to a level of international acceptability and acclaim. Eddy's recording career was phenomenal; and his string of successes is almost unparalleled in popular and Country music history. I believe that Jim would have exceeded Eddy's achievements if his career and life had not been tragically brought to an early end.
Eddy is now in his ninetieth year, and is in our thoughts and prayers during this very sad time.
Regards,
Geoff

: Mrs. Eddy Arnold has died in a Williamson
: County Hospital. Mr. Arnold is in a
: Nashville Hospital recovering from hip
: replacement surgery. He was not able to be
: with his beloved wife when she passed. She
: was admitted to the hospital over the
: weekend with breathing problems. I know Mr.
: Arnold thought highly of Jim Reeves as I had
: the chance to speak with him about it. The
: Arnolds were always so nice when you would
: see them out in public. She was a classy
: lady and will be deeply missed.
