: Thanks for pointing this out. For people who
: have never been to www.youtube.com before,
: you need to type in Jim's name at the top of
: the page. Then it will show you a list that
: you can scroll through. There are a lot of
: clips on there from other people doing
: Reeves songs, but you can ALSO find
: Gentleman Jim himself.
:
: One of the nicest clips which I would like
: to call fans' attention to is a color
: segment of Jim's lead guitarist, Leo
: Jackson, appearing on Jim Ed Brown's TV show
: years ago. It's a good chance to see Leo
: singing and playing guitar with Jim Ed. I
: think you will agree with me that it is a
: very worthy tribute by Leo to his mentor Mr.
: Reeves. Fans of course have heard Leo on
: many of Jim's recordings but now you get to
: see him too. It's fun to watch. You'll
: notice when they sing "Billy
: Bayou," you can see Mary on the left in
: the background, keeping time to the song.
: You can see it at:
:
: Another clip shows Mary being interviewed by
: Jim Ed, and she introduces a segment with
: Jim himself. You can find it at:
:
: So check it out! -- Julie

I just watched the videos and listened to Jim's songs again and it reminded me of a verse from a song I know.
I cried the day it happened,
in July of 64.
I never got to meet the man
and that hurts me even more.
But I'm sure that there's a Heaven
and if I go there when I die,
I know I'll get to meet Jim
at the Grand Ole Opry in the sky.
Again I shed a tear and I do hope to meet JIM oneday.
