Hello Mrs. Gath, First off, I would like to Thank You for your posts. Threw you, I feel like I know Mr. Reeves just a bit better. You and Mrs. Jackson always know the answers to the questions that are posted here. I would also like to Thank Larry and Julie for all their hard work that they not only put into the new CD's, but this website as well. If it wasn't for them, Mr. Reeves, I feel would just fade into the sunset. Mary Reeves would be very proud of their never ending pursuit to keep him alive to us all. This website is the highlight of my day to read posts from fans from all over the world.
I recieved my copy of the new CD "Shepherd of Love" today in the mail. I have 2 words that come to mind, "Well Done"! I have all the VM/s CD's except most of the radio series, and I think this CD is the best of them all. Larry great job! The CD looks wonderful. The picture on the front is excellent, and shows Mr. Reeves at his handsome best. And the over dubs, my goodness.
Every song is so very well done. I think they all are far better than even the originals. "Distant Drums", was always just an ok song with me. But this version is outstanding. So clear and riviting, it sent chills down my spine. I never really liked "Is it really over", but I like this version. "I love You Because" is outstanding, I think the best of the many over dubs. "Billy Bayou" is my favorite on the CD. You just gotta snap your fingers to it! "Rudolf" is a treat, and I will be playing it for the Family on Christmas. The other songs are very well done, as well.
I have always loved "He Will". It is by far my favorite song of faith. But this version is so beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes. Thank You Larry especially for this song.
For those that haven't ordered this wonderful CD, I hope that you can as soon as possible.
Merry Christmas and a Wonderful 2008 to all!

: Hi: I too was given a wonderful Christmas
: present today. The long-awaited new CD
: release by Voice Masters arrived. I
: immediately had to tear it open and much to
: my surprise the CD "look" is
: fantastic! I'm not gonna tell you, you have
: to purchase it to find out, but it
: definitely IS NOT black!!
:
: How did Larry and VM know what my favorite
: JR songs are? I can't believe the awesome
: sound that comes out of my speakers!
:
: I've always loved Distant Drums but love it
: more now. Jim's voice sounds brand new,
: like he just recorded it yesterday.
:
: Is it Really Over is still a sad song but it
: is so wonderful here.
:
: I think I Love You Because could again
: become a smash hit the way it is done on
: this CD if it were to be released as a
: single. It's just beautiful.
:
: I'm not too crazy about Lonesome Waltz but
: thrill at the low notes that Jim hits. Wow.
:
: I love the dobro on I'd Rather Not Know!
: It's too bad Jim didn't get the chance to
: record with a dobro. They are a great
: blend.
:
: He'll Have To Go has a new sound with new
: orchestration. Another smash.
:
: Of course, Rudolph is always great,
: especially this time of year.
:
: Shepherd of Love is probably my least
: favorite song on this CD but it is good to
: hear something new by Jim.
:
: Then it ends with He Will, a fitting song to
: close a wonderful new show by the master,
: Gentleman Jim Reeves. He usually closed his
: shows with a gospel song and then came back
: for the encore with Danny Boy and brought
: the house down.
:
: I recommend this new CD for every Jim Reeves
: fan in the world. Not much new comes out by
: him any more. In fact, it is amazing how VM
: and Larry keep digging and coming up with
: new songs and new arrangements. They are to
: be commended. Give yourself a Christmas
: present of this new CD, you certainly won't
: regret it.
:
: Now I wish to say Merry Christmas and Happy
: New Year to all you great Jim Reeves fans
: all over the world. I love you all for
: keeping Jim's memory alive. Thank you,
: Larry, Julie and Voice Masters.
:
: Always for Jim,
: Doris
